SCM 6. Culvert Traditional Cache

kerrfamilySBD: after 6 and a bit years this series has had its last finder earlier this week. I walked it today and took in all caches, except one which I couldn't find. MANY thanks to all who enjoyed the series and wrote log entries to say that they appreciated this walk. Any TBs will be put back in the field as soon as I can.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to my new route around Stanley Common, Stanley and Morley. Please click here for a full route description to print off and take along with you. It has a detailed map so handy for route finding. All cache descriptions contain only very brief route finding so do download the map and full instructions. 

Please can I respectfully ask for no spoiler photos of this cache as it either harder than usual or a different container to the norm.  I will ask you politely to delete spoiler photos from logs on this cache and I may delete the log myself if necessary.  When you leave the old railway line , cross the lane and immediately descend back onto the old track. I have added a waypoint to help you get back on the track. This is a hazardous cache. You attempt it at your own risk. You should note the "teamwork" attribute is on because I do note believe this cache should be done solo.

GPS cover was poor when I set this cache so the co-ords may be fuzzy, but KEEP LEFT of the obvious stonework destination. The bank is steep and you can easily slip and slide. Some of the trees that might help you don't appear to be very well rooted . At the bottom there is deep water. You DO NOT need to get wet to retrieve this cache but you could do if you don’t take care. Please re-hide exactly as found. The way back up is also difficult. Grab a tree and move up a trunk at a time

Remember a cache isn't worth an injury. If you don't fancy this one then miss it out. When I do maintenance walks I check the log book and delete finds if there is no signature. Sorry but the "no pen" excuse doesn't wash here :)
