The Jacob Shannon Evergreen Cemetery is only 2 acres but not only has a historical marker, but is the final resting place for people that served in The Revolutionary War, The War of 1812, The Mexican War, The Civil War, World Wars I and II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, There are markers labeld "Citizen of the Republic of Texas".
Well manicured and mingled with recent graves also, this park-like cemetery entertained us most of the morning. I hope you find it as delightful.
There is limited parking but a safe place to pull off the side of the road right in front of a entry gate. You are looking for a small camo-covered container, about eye-level.
