Yellow Submarine ist 1966 auf dem Album "Revolver" veröffentlicht worden. Gesungen wird es vom Schlagzeuger Ringo Starr. 1968 wurde es Namensgeber und Titellied des Zeichentrickfilms "Yellow Submarine". Paul McCartney, der in der Hafenstadt Liverpool geboren und aufgewachsen ist, schrieb das Lied aus der Sicht eines Seemanns, der Kindern sein Leben beschreibt. John Lennon half an einigen Stellen beim Text aus, und auch Donovan steuerte eine Zeile bei. McCartney verwahrte sich später gegen jede tiefergehende Auslegung des Liedes und beharrte darauf, dass es lediglich ein bedeutungsloses Kinderlied sei. (Quelle: Wikipedia)

Insgesamt sind 13 Caches versteckt. Für den ca. 6 km langen Rundkurs sind 2 bis 3 Stunden einzuplanen. Die einzelnen Verstecke befinden sich an oder in der Nähe von Wegen. Die T-Wertungen sind einheitlich gehalten. Es sind keinerlei Kletter-, Kriech- oder Tauchaktivitäten von Nöten. Je nach Jahreszeit können die Wege stärker bewachsen sein. Die Strecke ist nur bedingt kinderwagen- und rollstuhltauglich. Da es sich um ein Jagdgebiet handelt, ist die nächtliche Suche nicht zu empfehlen.

Der Wald hat aus verschiedenen Gründen stark gelitten. Die Verstecke befinden sich nach wie vor an den ursprünglichen Stellen, jedoch mussten kleinere Veränderungen vorgenommen werden.
