On the northern edge of the recreation ground is a wooded area. Historic photographs show that up until the 1940s this area was part of the Bromley and Bickley golf course and in golf use. There are a number of paths in this small wooded area which contrasts greatly with the mowed grass of the playing fields. In the Spring, you can see bluebells and other woodland flowers, such as cow parsley (a member of the carrot family).
To locate this cache you need to look at the drain covers on one of the footpaths which run through this recreation ground. The coordinates given above take you to one such drain cover. You are looking at Drain Cover Class B abc. Nearby, near to some railings, is lamp post 187Fd.
