To many people this is just a convenient pitt stop along the 401 on a long drive across our lovely province and as such many families and (hopefully) geodogs will get a chance to visit it. What many people may not know, is that this parking lot is also one of many across Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes that are used by a group that call themselves "The Freedom Drivers" as a relay station for dogs, cats and other animals in need. The animals are moved relay-style from high kill shelters by volunteers to the rescue and foster groups that will be rehabilitating and rehoming them, and today for a special guy named "Chance" that's exactly what happened. It is my hope (but not a requirment for those wanting to log this cache), that other animal lovers visting this area will take a picture of their furry companion with the cache and post it for everyone to enjoy. I'll get the ball rolling a post a picture of the handsome lad in the gallery.
