Cache is located a stone throw NE of the old school building . A small pull out is available on north side of Grasswood Road a few meters east of Clarence Ave. Cache is a magnetic Bison Tube and there is no need to enter private property .
Grasswood School opened in 1923 and was larger than most rural schools ,at times it housed more than 40 pupils . During periods of high enrolment two teachers were employed . In 1928 a generator was installed to provide electric lighting . In 1951 it was hooked up to the provincial power grid . In 1952 the old coal furnace was replaced with an oil burning type .Due to higher enrolment other school buildings were added to the site, first Brookland School in 1954 and later Victor School in 1962 . In spite of the pupil count the decision to close Grasswood was put in motion over strong oposition from parents . The debate dragged on for years with some children bussed into the city , some to Clavet, it closed in 1970 . A decade later in 1980 the South Corman Park school opened and the area once again had a school to call their own. This site is now a private acreage and the two school buildings are reported to be used as storage .
