Zur Bilstein-Serie:
Der wunderschöne Ort Bilstein mit ca. 1100 Einwohnern liegt im Herzen des Südsauerlands und ist Teil der Stadt Lennestadt im Kreis Olpe in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Bekannt ist er vor allem durch seine im Jahr 1202 errichtete Burg der Edelherren von Bilstein. In der Burg befindet sich seit 1927 eine Jugendherberge. Malerisch fließt die Veischede am Fuße des Rosenbergs vorbei an historischen Villen und Fachwerkhäusern. Naturbad, Bogenschießanlage, Cross-Golfplatz, schöne Wanderwege, u.v.m. sorgen für Freizeitvergnügen und Erholung.
Mit dieser Cache-Serie möchte ich euch schöne und interessante Stellen in meinem Heimatdorf zeigen, die einem auf der Durchreise vielleicht entgehen würden.
Zum Cache:
Der Brunnen in der Dorfmitte bildete einst zusammen mit der Burg und der Kirche die zentralen Punkte des Ortes.
Heute ist er umgeben von einem kleinen gemütlichen Park, welcher auch den Raum bietet für das neben dem Brunnen liegende Ehrenmal.
Hier wird der gefallenen und vermissten Soldaten der Kriege gedacht.
Hinweise:
- Bitte Respekt bewahren - der Cache liegt nicht am Ehrenmal!
- Die Schwierigkeit liegt hier darin, sich möglichst unauffällig zu verhalten. Seid kreativ!
- Notiert euch die Bonuszahl im Cache! (Sobald die Serie vollständig veröffentlicht ist, folgt auch ein Bonus-Cache.)
- Bitte loggt keine genauen Beschreibungen zum Cache, um nachfolgenden Cachern die Freude zu lassen. Fotos vom Cache werden gelöscht!

Informations about the „Bilstein Route“:
The wonderful town Bilstein with about 1100 residents is located in the heart of the southern Sauerland and is part of the City of Lennestadt, a part of Olpe County in Northrhine-Westfalia. It is mostly known by its famous castle built by the upper nobility of Bilstein. Since 1927 there has been a youth hostel. The creek Veischede flows through submontane of Rose Mountain crossing picturesque Villas and frame houses. In the town and its surroundings you find a natural swimming pool, a place for archery and cross-golfing, scenic hiking trails and much for fun and recreation.
This cache route gives me the chance to invite you to the most beautiful and interesting spots in my hometown, you would surely miss by just travelling through.
Informations about the cache:
The well in the heart of the town together with the castle and church used to be the central points.
Today it is surrounded with a little park to relax where you also can find the war memorial next to the well.
It remebers the fallen and missing soldiers of the wars.
Hints:
- So we do have respect – the cache is not at the memorial itself.
- The difficulty is to be inconspicuous. Be creative!
- There is a bonus number in the cache. Just remember it! (When the route is complete I will publish a bonus cache.)
- Do not log any accurate descriptions of the cache that all cachers after you still can enjoy it. Pictures of the cache are being deleted!
