The cache has been replaced by Xaris27 and frank20a in 2023 and is ready to be found again.
After my nearby cache GC6PA4R had to be disabled, I had one more reason to put one on this location. Once again, a beautiful area near the highway exit, ideal for a small stop to rest.
This is a beautiful big area full of huge plane trees. There's always shadow and it's never too hot. There is a restaurant/cafe nearby, but nowadays it's only open for weddings and other events. Perhaps it might be open on some holidays or weekends, as an exception. On weekdays its absolutely deserted and peaceful.
There are no proper picnic tables, but with all the benches and stone steps etc, you can make a great picnic there. There's free drinkable water nearby, see the pictures. There is no parking inside the area so I can't guarantee there will be a shady spot to park. Most of the times there is though, since the plane trees are so big that cover the nearby road, so I guess you can rest or sleep in your car/RV.
