The largest crater lake in Europe 39

 In Europe, the largest crater lake in Europe, we are in Karvala, at cache 39. From the old highway, the view down to Lappajärvi.

 Kestikevari (guesthouses) in Lappajärvi are not very old. The first was the completion of Taipale Road in 1792 in Orava. Karvala was the second oldest "Kestikevari". According totradition, it would have been established by the completion of the Länsirannantie in 1820. "Kestikevari" was in Isotupa, Jaakkola and Ala-aho. Usually the ride was made with horses, but it is known to ride on a certain boat on the River Kurejoki.

 Euroopan suurin kraatterijärvi ympäri-kierroksella olemme Karvalassa, kätköllä 39. Vanhalta maantieltä näkymä alas Lappajärvelle.

 Kestikevarit (majatalot) eivät ole Lappajärvellä kovin vanhoja. Ensimmäinen oli Taipaleen tien valmistuttua 1792 Oravassa. Karvalassa oli toiseksi vanhin kestikevari. Perimätiedon mukaan se olisi perustettu Länsirannantien valmistuttua 1820. Karvalan kevarit olivat Isossatuvassa, Jaakkolassa ja Ala-aholla. Yleensä kyyti tehtiin ns hollihevosilla, mutta tiedetään kyyti määrätyn venekyydillä Kurejoellekin.
