About Stayner:
From forestry and railroad roots in the early 1800s, a progressive town grew through the 20th Century to serve the surrounding farmlands. Today Stayner serves as the gateway community for four-season travelers to Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment and a place were 3,500 people live, work, play and raise their families. We hope you’ll find Stayner more than just a place to pass through. If you don’t stop, you’re missing the chance to experience the character of the people in the community. Our stores and shops are largely independently-owned small business where the person who greets you at the door is likely also the cashier, the service manager, the complaints department and the owner. Main Street parking is free and there is plenty of parking on the side streets running parallel to the main commercial core. Check out our public parking map here. Stayner is the heart of the municipality known as Clearview Township covering 557 square kilometers of unusual and fascinating geography including the Niagara Escarpment, the Minesing Swamp and the tributaries feeding into Nottawasga River and Nottawasga Bay.
