This should be a pretty easy grab. There is parking nearby.
This is a pretty cool site with quite a bit of history. An original, log chapel was constructed for the Church of England in 1640. In 1768 authorization was given to construct a new chapel which was completed in 1773. During the Revolution the church was confiscated and turned over to the Presbyterians. The Presbyterians only ran the church for a very short time before it was given to the Methodists. Although the church has been rebuilt and remodeled over the years it is believed that some traces of the original building still remain. Portions of surviving 18th century brickwork are laid in all-header bond, a pattern found in only 3 other buildings in Queen Anne’s County. If you have time walk through the small cemetery surrounding the church. There a quite a few old graves. Out of respect try and plan your trip so to avoid being there during their Saturday evening church service.
