Brown Willy is situated in the northern half of Bodmin moor and is the highest point in Cornwall. It is best approached from Camelford via an unclassified road leading to a car park below Rough Tor, northwest of Brown Willy.
The coordinates for the car park are : N 50” 36.419’ W004” 37.950’. You then have a two, to two and a half mile walk up Rough Tor, down the other side and then up Brown Willy. Between Rough Tor and Brown Willy is a small stream crossed by a bridge. Please use this bridge as it is the start of a permissive footpath across private land leading to the summit of Brown Willy.
The cache is close to the summit just below the Triangulation pillar, in a tupperware container. Allow about three hours for reaching this cache and returning to the car park and as with all excursions on to high moorland beware of any mist and low cloud.
