It is very easy to miss this small grave in the expanse of Princes Park. Hopefully, this cache will help people locate the small headstone which has been placed to commemorate the life of Judy the Donkey.
Judy was the resident donkey in Princes Park. For 21 years she gave children rides around the lake and park.
The inscription has faded over time, but if you look carefully you should be able to read:
In memory of Judy, a donkey who during 21 years of service in this park was the children's friend. Died 12th August 1926
Locals still place flowers at the final resting place of Toxteth's much beloved donkey.
