(RO) Monument istoric și de arhitectură laică, cetatea medievală a devei a fost construită la mijlocul secolului al XIII-lea pe dealul cetății, un con vulcanic cu altitudinea de 378 m.

Accesul în sit se face din Municipiul Deva. De aici, accesul se poate face atât pe jos pornind din parcul oraşului (Parcul Cetăţii), cât şi cu ajutorul telecabinei ce pleacă din piaţa de la poalele cetăţii.
Am atașat programul de funcționare al telecabinei.
De asemenea am atașat poze ce vă pot ușura drumul spre cutie.

(EN) The Fortress of Deva is located in the city of Deva, Hunedoara County, Romania, on top of a volcanic hill. The name Deva is considered to come from the ancient Dacian word dava, meaning "fortress".

The fortress is open daily and admission is free. The climb to the fortress is a 45-minute walk on a reasonable path. Those who cannot or do not wish to walk to the citadel can use the funicular to reach nearly to the top. One must still navigate a series of steps to enter the ruins of the fortress.
