Andrew Johnson became President after Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 15 1865, he was the first Vice President ever to replace an assassinated president Andrew Johnson, was one of only two presidents who did not own pets however, he found a family of white mice at the White House that he cared for and fed Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton are the only Presidents to be impeached (Charged with misconduct) Andrew Johnson was acquitted by just one vote and not charged About his death Andrew Johnson quoted "When I die, I desire no better winding sheet that the Stars and Stripes and no softer pillow that the constitution of my country." He was buried with his body wrapped within the U.S. flag and his well-worn copy of the Constitution as a pillow
