Imagine my surprise to realize, nearly 3 years later, we almost unknowingly bought a house in Concord, NC that was within a couple football fields length of parts of an EPA Superfund site. It has been nearly completely remediated, and you can see some of that on the way. It's a bit of a walk, and a bit of a bushwack near the end, to get to the cache, which is located on the banks of nearby Irish Buffalo Creek. I chose to walk, but you could get there by small boat when the water is up, like it was recently.
