Geocache Description:

This is an opportunity to see the Burritt's Rapids area and have a nice easy walk near the canal and locks. It is a multi-waypoint cache which starts at the above coordinates for Waypoint 1 (N44 58.815 W075 47.784). Read the interesting sign there to discover the reason for this cache name.

Now find the founding date of Burritt's Rapids which is on a sign nearby. Place a decimal point to the right of the leftmost digit to form a number with format X.XXX . Add this number to each of the north and west minutes of the following coordinates: N44 57.075 W075 45.942 to yield the coordinates for Waypoint 2.

Waypoint 2 is a stone Boundary Marker and 2 paces north of it is a wooden post with a very appropriate yellow number on it. Add this number of minutes to each of the north and west minutes of the following coordinates: N44 56.892 W075 45.685 to yield the coordinates of Waypoint 3.

Waypoint 3 is a signpost with a tag on it. The number on the tag is the amount of the fine that used to be on the now missing sign. Place a decimal to the left of the leftmost digit of the fine amount to yield a number with format 0.XXX . Add this number to each of the north and west minutes of the following coordinates: N44 58.846 W075 47.058 to yield the coordinates of Waypoint 4.

Waypoint 4 was a sign, now long gone. Instead, look for a brown stake just inside the cedar hedge. On it you'll find a blue label with the minute portions for the coordinates for Waypoint 5. (Assume the degree portions are N44 and W075.)

Waypoint 5 is wooden and is manmade. On it is a blue label with the minute portions for the coordinates for the cache. (Assume the degree portions are N44 and W075.)

The cache is lodged in a cedar tree, about 18 inches above ground level.

Cache Container: Camouflage coloured plastic container about 4 inches in diameter by about 5 inches high.

Cache contents when established:

- Genuine Legal Tender $20 bill for the first to find the cache!

- red car

- 2 carabiners and rings

- 3 crazy bones (from Buddy11's Cache)

- brown balloon

- yellow long balloon

- film canister for a micro cache container

PLEASE do not include spoilers in your logs. Logs with spoilers will be deleted immediately. If you believe there is any problem with the cache setup, please advise me privately by e-mail so that I may fix them if necessary.
