I have always been fascinated with sand dunes, by the vast amounts of sand, both in weight and number of individual grains that make up each hill. Why it ends up where it does and how the dunes are formed always cross my mind each time I encounter them.
I did not know that the Mussentuchit Dunes even existed. We came upon these by chance and my first thought was “This is a great spot for a Geocache”.
The cache is a smaller food container that we picked up at the hardware store in Green River. It has been spray painted black. We plan on upgrading the container next time we get down there. For now we will see how it withstands the test of time.
