Another in the Barges mini series. This lock on the Barge Canal was recently in the news because of the fermentation tanks that passed through on the way to western NY. However there are more reasons to come here. The lock has a paved bike trail, mowed grassy areas with shade, solitude, fishing and a picnic area. This site may just possible offer another choice for a "spur of the moment" summer afternoon family outing. Give it some thought. Happy Hunting
