This cache is a 1kg tub placed near Stream Mill Bridge just on the Bridal Path that links Stonehill with Dern Lane
At the Stonehill end of the track there is a Lay-by by the side of the road with parking for two vehicles. The sunken nature of the track is a testament to the many draught animals that traversed the route bringing supplies for the forge at Stream Mill or pulling the finished cannons away. Stream Mill Bridge. Below the wooden bridge erected between 2008 and 2010 is a Grade II listed bridge from late 18th or early 19th Century. The bridge and its historical significance goes back to the 15th and 16th century when a bridge on this site, with elements remaining in the present bridge, was associated with a forge and cannon boring ironworks at the nearby mill. The bridge and mill are integrally linked, and the grooves for sluice gates to control the flow of water from the millpond are visible on the north bridge supports.
