This cache is to replace the orginal as land behind the cemetery was sold and the new owner was not a fan of geocachers... Now in front of the cemetery and hidden in a location a little less consipicuous as it provids seating for viewing the cemetery, it should make it a much faster find further from the sold land.
This little cemetery is easy to miss as I have driven by it numerous times before realizing it was there! In the front there is a historical landmark sign reading "To site of Peru. Blockhouse. One of five erected in Northern New York in 1794 as a refuge for settlers from Indian attacks." (This calls for an adventure to find the other 4!) Soldiers from the Revolutionary War are buried here - some headstones & plates are readable.
For this one, stealth is required as there are many vehicles passing by! It was rather difficult to place compared to our other hidden caches. BYOP to sign the log!
