Geocache Description:

Along an Alcoa Greenway.

Bring the kids, bikes, roller blades, whatever…but don’t forget the bread for the geese! Lots of trail to explore. If you’ve got the time, continue the trail out to the Alcoa Duck Pond. Although there are other places along the way to park, we chose the following: N35.45.375, W 083.58.481. The cache is about 0.3 miles from these coordinates, all level and paved. Although the cache is about 50 feet off the trail, dense tree coverage around the cache made marking it a bit tricky. Originally intended to call it ‘Skeeter Heaven’ (yeah, lots of ‘em), but ended up with a title that might be viewed as a spoiler. Oh, well…enjoy the hunt! Original contents include a one-eyed monster, racecar, football, alien with saxophone, American flag pin, spitting frog, ‘Green Power’ sunglasses, and a bona-fide rubber ducky. Hope you enjoy this place…we sure do!
