HAPPY HUNTING (2016) is an independant film about an alcoholic drifter who not only must battle withdrawal, but psychotic rednecks after he becomes the target of a deranged sporting event. It won the cinematography award at the 2016 Screamfest. It is also the name of a 1956 Musical Play starring Ethal Merman and Fernando Lamas. Both were nominated for a Tony award in thier respective roles and both lost. Lamas was actually beat-out by Rex Harrison in "My Fair Lady". So why did Fuzbill pick this title? Well, the name. We are all happy while we are hunting. So it's a nod to that. AND it's a tribute to our teacher and mentor Hapyhunter. And, the musical play...well besides fitting in with the nearby theatre...was produced in 1956, the same year that Bill was!
