This series of 12 geocaches is dedicated to our favorite TV comedy, The Big Bang Theory. Created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, the series premiered on CBS in Sept of 2007. At the time these geocaches were placed, the series had just completed its 10th season and had been renewed for 2 more. This cache salutes Bernadette Rostenkowski (now Wolowitz), played by Melissa Rauch. Eventually married to Howard on the show, she did not plan to become a mother as soon into their marriage as she did. Perhaps she or Howard could have delayed that pregnancy with a stop here. This is the only cache of this series to be placed in the city of Salem, which borders Roanoke to the west. Sheldon would probably ask if we know why Roanoke College is in Salem and not in Roanoke. It was actually named Roanoke College for the nearby Roanoke River when the city of Roanoke was still known as Big Lick. Instead of using this pharmacy, Sheldon would probably go to the pharmacy closest to the “Fun With Flags” geocache of this series, as there is a train store almost next door to that one.
