Welcome to The Ry Factor

The Ry Factor cache is named after my buddy Ryleigh who is interesed in what Geocaching is all about.

It is located at the Tanana Lake Recreation Area and is located on the off the Tanana River. Park entrance is located at the end of South Cushmans Street.

Hours of Operation MAIN PARK 7 days a week 7:00 a.m.—11:00 p.m.

As you enter the Tanana Lakes Recreational Area (TLRA) to the left you will find the picnic area including a Pavilion and Restroom facilities. Further down to the left is the swim area.

For decades, the South Cushman Street dike was a place where people went to shoot guns, burn pallets and dump unwanted vehicles.

Now it's the Tanana Lakes Recreation Area with nature trails, a swim beach, a boat launch, a picnic area and public restrooms. This summer marks the second year for the fledgling park.

The Ry Man wanted to get out and do a little caching so I thought what a perfect time to get out and give all the kayakers and canoists a reason to get out onto the lake. TLRA has a vast area to offer the public and what a great way to spend it with family and friends

Summer time requires a raft, paddle boat or a canoe to get across the lake. Canoe rental is available at the park.  Spend a day of it caching and spending time in the sun.

Cache contains miscellaneous articles and a FTF for the quickest paddler.
