Geocache Description:

This should be a quick and easy find. The cache has moved several metres from the original location due to some clearing being done. There are no longer trade items in the container. Please read directions on the lid on how to open the container.

I grew up not far from here. My grandfather traded a hotel in Minnesota for land. Our family farm was not homesteaded by my paternal grandparents, but the a nearby farm is where they raised their family. In 1917 a house was built there. Many years later, it became home to my parents and their growing family. As time passed, the farm became home to one of my sisters and her family. The original house has been incorporated into the home that is still resided in today by family members. In 2017 we celebrated the 100th birthday of the building of the original house. My paternal grandparents and their children have all passed away, but family from the next three generations, as well as friends, and neighbours were in attendance. Original trade items include a Canada pin (in honour of Canada's 150th birthday) and pins from Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta, and Arizona. The remaining descendants all reside in the four western Canadian provinces and a few spend their winters in Arizona.
