Those trees, several hundred metres away, are now large gums with no lower limbs, and are at the entrance to someone’s new home. As I was preparing to archive ‘Love is in the Air’ I thought I would use the same description of the views in this replacement cache. The new cache is a totally different hide though.
“Several years ago this road experienced extensive landslides forcing the road to be closed for repair, and traffic was diverted to an alternate connection road to Dumbalk. Extensive road works took place and additional trees were planted to secure the road edges.
We travelled this road regularly between Mirboo North and Foster and constantly enjoyed the paddock views. The view has always reminded me of a massive patchwork quilt made up of different colors from the paddocks as they are planted and harvested. Now the new gums have grown the view is obscured a bit, but there are safe places to pull over to enjoy the beautiful views. The cache is located in an area well off the road where there is ample parking space and access to the views between the trees.”
We still travel this road regularly on our way to Foster from Warragul, and still love the views of this beautiful farmland.
The cache is small to medium size and blends into the environment. You do not need to climb trees or enter private property. There may be room for very small swaps, but you will need to bring your own pen. Hope you enjoy the views.
