Hello, fellow geocachers!
I always try to make events wherever I travel. Now more than ever, because Geocaching Bicycle Touring Europe is so close...
These events are, as the title points out, simple Meet&Greet events, most likely somewhere near the city center or an interesting cache. I am trying to meet the locals, get in contact with the geocaching comunity, maybe get some tips from the locals about good caches in the area. I like to make friends and let people know about this trip of mine. Also these events are the best opportunity for me to answer whatever questions you may have about GBTE, so by all means: ask away!

Goddag Struer! How have you been?
Last time I tried to host an event here I failed miserably... I missed my own event because of some unforseen changes to my schedule. But no more, it's time for me to fix that! You know what they say: „If first you don't succeed, try and try again!”
I will be in your city again, so I would love to meet you. My goal for today is to round up my number of finds so that maybe, when I begin my bicycle tour on July 5 I can start counting from ... let's say 2400 finds? For this purpose I plan to do a few of the caches in the power trail nearby.
Let's meet at the coordinates, from 12:00 to 12:30

GBTE (Geocaching Bicycle Touring Europe) is my big adventure for the second half of 2017.
On July 5th I will begin this awesome journey: cycling and geocaching through Denmark - Germany - Netherlands – Belgium – France – UK – Andorra – Spain – Italy – San Marino – Slovenia – Croatia – Serbia – Bulgaria and Romania. It is going to be a trip of nearly 7000 km, during almost 5 months and I am targeting at least 2000 caches.
But it's not about the number, not really. I do not care about having 2000 more finds after this trip, as much as I care about the very specific caches I want to get. I planned my route according to the caches, not the other way around: starting with T5 climbing caches, virtual and webcam, old caches, those with many FP and some of the ones nominated for Geocache Of The Week. Basically, all the special caches, you know them!
Yes, I am doing all of these while riding on a fully loaded bicycle, self supported, camping and trying to find hosts on couchsrufing.com and warmshowers.org... it's freaking AWESOME! :D
Also, because I love the social part of geocaching, I am hosting events all over along the route! I do hope to meet many local players, to chat, discover TB, and maybe, like on other occasions, find some geocachers that would join me on the T5 geo-hunts. Or maybe offer a meal or a shower, or a bed for a night? Who knows... maybe you know someone that knows someone... It's a long trip, and any bit of help is much appreciated!
I look forward to make many friends during this summer and autumn, so come meet me! There are also a few TB for you to discover: myself, my bike, my logbook, the events.... :D
