Hi cecsgeocache,

If not already disabled I have disabled this cache because it has been reported as possibly missing or being in need of maintenance as indicated by its low health score. By now you should have received an email from HQ indicating that your cache may need some attention. I am following up on those emails to see if the required maintenance has been completed. At this time I am asking that you, as the cache owner, make a physical check on the cache and leave a note on the cache page in regards to its status.

If you have completed the needed maintenance feel free to post an owner maintenance log and enable the cache again. I will check back in a few weeks and if there has been no response to the needed maintenance and I have not heard anything from you, I will be archiving the cache at that time.

For tips about how to perform maintenance and to learn why Geocaching HQ sends occasional geocache maintenance reminders, please see this Help Center article, https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713

Thanks

FÉLIX PLANTE – CANADA150

*PLEASE BYOP*

Born in Île d'Orléans, Quebec, Félix Plante arrived in Moose Jaw in 1882, just before the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway. He opened his general store, the Buffalo Store, on Main Street North, and became one of the first merchants in the region. His business was situated at the current location of the Elk Block, now designated a Canadian Heritage Site. There, he traded bison furs, as well as bones for fertilizer.

In 1891, a fire destroyed most of the buildings on Main Street and the Buffalo Store was no exception. Felix Plante did not rebuild his business because of health problems related to a fall from a horse. He died the following year.

Felix Plante was a well respected merchant in the community of Moose Jaw. He worked with First Nations and  Métis  people and settlers in the area. He was an honest and fair man.
