EDEs lighthouse XVII - Vatnsnesviti

Vatnsnesviti

Bult 1922. Active; focal plane 12 m (39 ft); three flashes every 10 s, white or red depending on direction. 8 m (26 ft) square cylindrical concrete tower with lantern and gallery. The lighthouse was previously painted yellow, but sone oder photos shows the tower painted white and the lantern and gallery blue. Toddy the lighthouse is painted in orange. It is located in near the harbour at the tip of the Vatnsnes peninsula.
