[RO] La Gura Râului, trăieşte un brad uriaş, înalt de peste 40 de metri, cu circumferinţa trunchiului de 650 cm, vechi de 500 de ani.
Legenda spune că aici trăia pe vremuri un ciobanaş care avea 10 oiţe, pe care le păştea într-o poieniţă de pe malul râului. Într-o zi, cerul s-a întunecat şi ciobănaşul a pus oiţele speriate la adăpost sub un copac, iar el s-a acoperit cu cojocul şi s-a culcat sub un brad. Când s-a trezit, furtuna se oprise, dar oiţele nu mai erau. După căutări zadarnice, s-a pus sub brad şi a început să se roage cu lacrimi la Cel de Sus să-l ajute să găsească animalele pierdute. Plângând a adormit, iar când s-a trezit, bradul sub care se rugase a crescut foarte mare şi gros. Tânarul s-a urcat până în vârful bradului de unde a văzut oiţele departe într-o poiană. Întors acasă cu oile, a povestit mamei ce a păţit, iar aceasta a povestit duminica la biserică şi celorlalţi săteni întâmplarea şi aceştia au hotărât să nu taie niciodată acel brad.

One day, the sky darkened and the shepherd put the scared sheep to shelter under a tree and he covered himself with his coat and fell asleep under a fir tree. Then he fell asleep crying and when he woke up the fir tree had grown very big and thick. The young man climbed to the top of the tree from where he saw the sheep in a far away glade. When he returned home he told his mother what had happend to him and she told the story Sundays to the people in the church and they decided not to ever cut that fir tree.
