Geocache Description:

This cache is one of a series of 15 that geographically form a loop in Steiglitz Historic Park.

Near the first cache in the series is Friday’s Picnic Ground. Towards the end of the series is another picnic area.

The series mimics a game of Cluedo, and you eliminate suspects etc by finding the containers, and then eliminating those people, rooms, or weapons you see.

The containers vary from 6 very large ones down to a small key case.

The 6 big containers need you to peer in through a hole on one end of the container, protected from the weather by a wooden disc. Do not open the big containers, all of their lids are screwed on to prevent this. You can open all the other containers.

You must begin the series at the cache called Clued 01, because there you will collect a sheet that lists the suspects, rooms and weapons like you have in an ordinary game of Cluedo. Please note that there are extra people, rooms etc other than what we usually see in the Australian version of Cluedo.

After that you need to do cache numbers 02 to 14 in some order.

You must do Cache 15 last

On successfully finding Clued 15, which is a multi you will find that you have eliminated all but 2 people, 2 rooms and 2 weapons. That’s all the clues you get.

When you log Clued 15, you can tell us, if you wish, whether you guessed correctly.

If you are completely correct ( there is a 1 in 8 chance of that ), your geocaching name will be published in the notes for Clued 1 under the heading SUCCESSFUL SLEUTHS.

There is a separate container with each Clued container, and this separate container is where you find the log and a small number of trades. These separate containers need to be fully closed please.

Brisbane Ranges does have areas of Cinnamon Fungus infestation. Please read the following information. Park managers have given approval for this series of caches. Cinnamon Fungus has been identified in this area. It is spread through infected plants and the movement of contaminated soil and gravel, and there is no known cure. PLEASE TAKE APPROPRIATE MEASURES TO HELP MINIMISE THE SPREAD OF THE PATHOGEN INCLUDING; Where available, use boot cleaning stations and vehicle wash down bays. Obey all track and road closure signs. Do not enter areas of vegetation that have been quarantined. In infected areas remain on formed roads, tracks and pathways at all times.
