in our disclaimer.
This should be a family friendly EarthCache. There is no container at this site as it is an EarthCache.
Please be respectful of the area and it's residents, big or small!
If you have your kids with you, please keep them safe.
You should be able to obtain this EarthCache from a wheelchair.
For this EarthCache we will be observing a small pool of water in the creek and the geology that makes this small pool possible.
Depending on the time of year, too much or too little water can be in the creek to allow the stream pool to show itself. If that's the case, come back when the pool is visible again.
At the posted coordinates, you must look over the edge of the bridge down toward a man made object near the small pool. If you see the man made tube then you can see the pool of water, unless it's completely dried up. The man made tube is just a reference point.
Stream Pool
A stream pool, in hydrology, is a stretch of a river or stream in which the water depth is above average and the water velocity is quite below average.
Stream Pool Formation
A stream pool may be bedded with sediment or armoured with gravel, and in some cases the pool formations may have been formed as basins in exposed bedrock formations. Plunge pools, or plunge basins, are stream pools formed by the action of waterfalls.

1) About how deep is the small pool of water in the creekbed? How wide is it?
2) Is water flowing through the creek? If so, about how deep is the water?
3) Is the water in the pool still? If not, describe its movement.
4) This is NOT a requirement!
Pictures are no longer allowed to be used as a logging requirement for EarthCaches, but I highly encourage them! Snap a few if you'd like! (No spoilers! Pictures containing spoilers will be deleted!)
I hope you enjoyed this EarthCache and most of all I hope you learned something new!
