🐳 The Lost Treasure of Mary Hyde 🐳 Event Cache

Arrgh!  Avast ye! Join us for a swashbuckling geocaching adventure through daring feats and stormy seas. Make yer way through a four week souvenir journey to find the lost treasure of Mary Hyde.

• The place will be :South Shore Mall Food Court Sunrise highway BayShore, NY.
• The date is :Sunday July 16, 2017
• The time : 2:00 pm till 5:00pm or when the last person leaves.There is Plenty of Parking.
• It is not necessary to buy anything to participate.

• July 15-16 – Build your crew by attending or hosting an event and earn a souvenir. The more friends you have on Geocaching.com, the easier it will be to keep sailing on…
• July 17 – 23 – Though the treasure may seem far away, if you work together you’ll earn the first map piece one day.
• July 24 – 30 – Don’t be afraid to take the lead, to earn the next map piece you already have everything that you need.
• July 31 – August 6 – When you work with a crew, earning the third map piece becomes easier to do.

  • We have introduced you to the infamous Captain Mary Hyde, who ruled the high seas for many years, and found no shortage of riches throughout her reign. We’ve come upon her letters, found in bottles on the shore near Geocaching HQ with instructions to join us for a swashbuckling geocaching adventure through daring feats and stormy seas. Attend a geocaching event on July 15 or 16, to build your crew* and earn the ‘Ahoy Me Hearties’ souvenir. For the following 4 weeks (July 17-August 13) earn all 4 souvenirs to complete the treasure map and receive the treasure chest souvenir. *Don’t sweat! You can still join the quest, even if you can’t make it to an event this weekend! Make sure to log your finds and the events you attended no later than Tuesday after each week has commenced to be eligible for the souvenirs!! Souvenirs will be awarded Wednesdays. …

  • Hey ho! In a few days, carousers from every continent will get together to share geocaching tales at pirate geocaching events. Remember to log your will attend for one of these events on July 15 or 16! Round up all your seaworthy raiders and get familiar with Geocaching.com’s newest feature: the Friend League. The Friend League is a leaderboard that shows you and your friends’ geocaching activity. If you log a cache, or attend an event you collect points in the form of gold coins. To earn the souvenir with the first map piece you have to collect a combined total of 30 gold coins from July 17 to July 23 together with your crew.* You must individually contribute at least 5 coins to your crew’s total.
