Geocache Description:

On May 26th 2017, the RM of Walpole held a "Dedication Ceremony" at the old well site in the Hamlet of Walpole..

Known as the local town pump, it was drilled in approx.1928 to suupply the then thriving  village. The well was 142 feet deep and was known for the best soft water around. The well was decommissioned in July of 2016 due to saftey concerns, Today all that remains of the old village is the elevator and a couple abanded homes as well as a couple near-by farm yards.
