Most of the world relies heavily on coal, oil, and natural gas for its energy - Fossil fuels which are non-renewable. They draw on finite resources that will eventually dwindle, become too expensive or too environmentally damaging to retrieve. In contrast, the many types of renewable energy - such as wind and solar are constantly replenished, will never run out and are clean alternatives to combat climate change.
