Geocache Description:

Boston Light on Little Brewster Island, Boston Harbor

There has been a lighthouse on Little Brewster Island since 1716. It was destroyed by the British in 1776 as they evacuated Boston. The light was rebuilt in 1783. The light is staffed and maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The island is not open to the public except by scheduled tours. (Hence the overall difficulty rating of 3 - See (visit link) for tour schedule.)
