Geocache Description:

The journey to the cache is a wonderful walk through the valley of the trees. Enjoy the beautiful wall of artwork on the back from local artists. The coordinates are not exact.

Behind the historic Ol' Merc building. Originally this building was a variety store, one of the first in McArthur, ca. It sits on the corner of hwy 299 and main st. Snuggled next to the McArthur mansion. This building has been many things over the years and has been destroyed by multiple fires but always rebuilt. The intermountain area is very rich with history and inside the building are old pictures that give you a sneak peek of what it was like. This cache remains outside but while your are looking for it I ask for you to take a second and travel back in time.
