Geocache Description:

This is a WhereIGo cache. You will need a GPS receiver that is WhereIGo capable or a smart phone with an appropriate WhereIGo app for your device. Sign in with your geocaching.com username to download the cartridge from wherigo.com

There are four stops to this Wherigo. It should not take much more than 15 minutes to complete.

Two items to note:
1) The trail signs have not been installed at the third stop of this WherIGo.
2) The first stop number is incorrect on the trail marker, make to use the stop number we have provided in the WherIGo cartridge. Jamestown Tourism is aware of incorrect sign and has ordered a replacement.

The terrain is mostly level and the entire area is blacktop or concrete sidewalks, except the area where the final container is located, which is mowed grass. A wheelchair can be taken to the final, but the container may not be retrievable by a person sitting in a wheelchair, hence the 1.5 terrain rating.

You will be required to make phone calls in order to complete this cache. While there is not fee to access the Talking Trail, any fees your cell phone provider charges you to make the phone calls are your responsibility.

You will need to be within 15 feet of the coordinates for the WhereIGo cartridge to recognize that you are at the correct location. The WhereIGo cartridge is setup to use Jamestown Talking Trail sign post as reference points. Our recommendation is to get the stop number and then use your GPSr or phone to get into the zone and make the call to answer the questions.

If you are already in the zone for a stop when you start to navigate to it, the cartridge will not recognize that you are already at the location. The solution is to walk away from the location and once you are 20-30' away, go back towards the location, the cartridge should pick up the zone change.

Permission was granted by the Stutsman County Museum Board Chair to place this cache.
