This cache is placed near the Historic Franklin School, where the famous western author Louis L'Amour received all of his formal education. The building is a Classical Revival style structure and was designed by Joseph Bell DeRemer. Construction was completed in 1909 and it operated as a school until 2000 when it was closed. It was listing in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 2002. Cable Services Incorporated now owns the building and operates its business out of this location.
