Pill Paddock is an old allotment site which has been transfomed into a nature reserve by the local community. It's owned by Easton-in-Gordano Parish Council and leased to the National Trust. Local children planted the woodland area (mostly oak, ash, willow and maple) when the reserve was established and it's now home to a wide variety of birds and butterflies. The meadow itself is mostly wildflower, but common spotted orchid has been found growing here. It's cut for hay every summer.
The cache itself is located on the public footpath which runs along the paddock's northern border; you do not need to enter the paddock to access it. You'll need to bring your own pen, and some tweezers to extract the log. Please replace exactly as found.
Congrats to the Middlestorbs, who were the FTF just 20mins after publication :-)
