Geocache Description:

An event to celebrate Canada Day
Saturday 1st July 2017
6.00-7.00pm

Location - Edenwall Farmhouse, 8 Coleway Road, Coleford, Gloucestershire, GL16 7HG

We are staying in the area and thought how lovely it would be to meet some local geocachers, exchange trackables and share caching adventures while being able to relax, enjoy a drink and a few nibbles together with the added bonus of gaining a Souvenir too ! 

What is Canada Day?
Canada Day is the national day of Canada. A federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of the July 1, 1867, enactment of the Constitution Act, 1867 (then called the British North America Act, 1867, which united the three separate colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick into a single Dominion within the British Empire called Canada. Originally called Dominion Day the holiday was renamed in 1982, the year the Canada Act was passed. Canada Day celebrations take place throughout the country, as well as in various locations around the world, attended by Canadians living abroad.

There will be a 'names in a hat' prize draw for all attendees :)

To get to the location you will need to stay on the main Coleway road, drive past the Bells hotel on your right then take a turning on your right which goes over a cattle grid, about 200 yards on you will see the farmhouse on the golf course. Hopefully if the weather is kind we can sit outside ( you are welcome to bring picnic blankets/chairs)
