A new cache for an old location. I recommend parking in the dollar store lot, then walking east to the vacant lot due south of the cache and making your way from there. Coming straight through the wooded lot can be done, but is much tougher than it was back when I originally placed this cache.
This location is the former site of the St. Joe Auto Theater opened in June of 1950. The opening movie was “You’re My Everything” with Dan Dailey and Anne Baxter. Admission was 60 cents per person. According to the St. Joe News in 1950, the St. Joe Auto Theater was built at a cost of $80,000 and had a capacity for 450 cars. This drive-in closed sometime in the early 80’s.
You are looking for a plastic container with room for swag and trackables. It is quite weedy back here, so beware of thorns, poison ivy, and ticks when searching for it.
