This cache is on a seasonal road, the gates may be locked in hunting season or in bad weather!
We were wanting to put a traditional cache out here, but the problem was there was not a real good place to put one that would not be like a "drive-in" and pick up the cache. You will know what we mean when you visit. There are a lot of birds out here.
This cache is on a seasonal road, the gates may be locked in hunting season or in bad weather!, but it is still Possible for the "HARD CORE CACHER" to find this site. There is a parking area at the SR 39 entrance. Enjoy one of our favorite places.
Due to the geography of this site the only short cuts to the cache is by water.

"Kankakee State FWA roads are open 24/7 except for periods of high water
where public safety is of concern and during waterfowl hunting season.
Waterfowl hunting occurs during the period of October through December.
The
exact dates change from year to year due to differing season dates. You
may
stop in to the checking station beginning in October, for information,
when
we are notified of season dates."
