A small cemetery that is no longer active but is kept in good shape. it is special to us since Jan's Great-Great grandfather is buried here and is a Civil War Veteran. We still place a flower on his grave every year.
The Friends Cemetery was founded in 1794. The site was purchased by Quakers to be used for their meeting house and grave yard. It was used until 1948. At that time, the meeting house was moved to Fishertown. Many people buried here were active in the Underground Railroad. More information is on a sign at the entrance to the cemetery. The adjacent property is a private home. Please stay on the cemetery property. There is no need to leave the property to find the cache, although a little up hill climb is required. Please, as always with cemetery caches, no night caching.
