Boys Baseball of Aurora, Illinois was formed in 1952 to provide the Aurora area with an organized summer baseball league. The organization is dedicated to providing the children in Aurora, as well as the surrounding communities, with a baseball program that stresses the early development of fundamentals, the importance of teamwork, the life lessons of good sportsmanship, and above all else, having fun playing age-level competitive baseball.
Governed by a fourteen member Board of Directors, BBA is a Not-for-Profit corporation chartered annually by the State of Illinois. Sponsored by the City of Aurora, the Fox Valley Park District, and dozens of local businesses and organizations, BBA operates four leagues for kids ages 6-14 and partners with the Turners Club to provide a T-Ball league for kids ages 4-5. Over 200 Volunteers each year serving as managers, coaches, and scorekeepers, staff over 50 teams playing on 15 fields.
BBA is organized into 5 Leagues. The APL League is for participants 13 and 14 years of age. This is where advanced skills are taught and honed for the start of High School Baseball. The Major League is for players 11 and 12 years of age. Here, fundamentals are honed and baseball skills are on exhibit as teams compete against divisional opponents. At the Minor League level, children 8-10 years of age experience their first taste of competition in an environment dedicated to enhancing fundamentals and teamwork in a setting that is fun for all. The Rookie League is for 6 and 7 year olds. Within the framework of a team, boys are introduced to baseball fundamentals in a fun atmosphere designed to promote a lasting love for the game. Our T-Ball Program is done in partnership with the Aurora Turners Club and is for 4 and 5 years old. Here the very basics of the game are taught in short sessions to help spark an enjoyment of baseball.
Personally, I have been coaching in Boys Baseball Of Aurora for over 25 years.

Here at Greene Field, on any given summer evening you may see 13 and 14 year olds playing on the south field, while 11 and 12 year olds will be playing at the north field.
The posted coordinates will take you to a wonderful view of both games at once.
THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES.
By simply standing at the posted coordinates, and looking around, do a few simple computations as follows to arrive at the coordinates for the final location:
The coordinates for the final are N41 46.XXX, W088 19.YYY.
XXX equals the distance the ball travels from the batter to the right field foul pole of the north field (Add a yard for good measure)
minus the total number of light standards that provide lighting for both fields.
YYY equals (the distance the ball travels from the batter to the right field foul pole of the north field times 4)
plus the total number of light standards that provide lighting for both fields
plus the total number of bulbs in the south field.
