We placed this cache about 2 km south of TCH to show off the great view. Ranch land stretches out before you, Hay Lake in the foreground and the Cypress Hills in the distance. Hay Lake was dry from the 1950s until the huge storms of 2010 flooded the streams and refilled the many lakes in the region. That water soaked in and recharged the water table, so many recently dry lake beds are once again home to shorebirds and waterfowl.
Members of Medicine Hat’s South East Alberta Region Cache Hunters (SEARCH) will maintain these sites for the enjoyment of people travelling the TCH. A lot of great geocaching can be found in our corner of the world, and we invite you to share it.
