A quick cache located a few minutes off the road inside the Wild Horse Wind & Solar Facility. This seasonal cache does require a permit which is quick and easy to attain (see below). This is one of many caches we have hidden inside our facility among the wind turbines.
This area is a fun and unique Ponderosa Pine forest where you can discover the plants and animals of the shrub steppe and explore the history hidden in this old pine grove. After parking it's a short hike where the cache is hidden. No need to climb any trees while looking for this cache. Good luck!
This cache requires a recreation access permit that is available from April 1-Nov. 15. These permits are available online or at the Renewable Energy Center.
