Please note that the Poinsett Bridge Heritage Preserve area will be closed to public access from September 29th, 2025 until April 1st, 2026. This historic GC will be disabled during that time, as there will be no access allowed. Posted August 28, 2025.
The cache is located at one of South Carolina's 11 most endangered historical places. In spite of suffering from neglect, a bit of graffiti and just plain old wear due to its age it's still a unique and beautiful spot. Well worth a visit!
The cache is a clear plastic one gallon jar with a white screw top and was placed with an assortment of inexpensive but fun little goodies including:
- Barnie Rubble Pez dispenser
- Collapsible drinking cup
- Super dooper holographic glow in the dark yoyo
- Mini greenhouse
- Pink Flamingo
- A few other little chatchkees
AND (insert drum roll)
*A much coveted, VERY limited edition mug printed with the Geocaching logo. (The mug wouldn't fit in the jar... it's right next to it.)
The cache also contains a permanent log book and a camera. Please take a moment to record a little bit about yourself and your visit in the log book and snap a pic for posterity.
NOTE: Cache is currently being maintained by members of the geocaching community.
