July 1, 2017 is Canada’s 150th birthday! I’m sad to miss the celebrations back home, but I’m vacationing in Europe. I’ve discovered that Canada High Commission at Trafalgar Square is having celebrations on Canada Day. The media is saying they will be offering refreshments and hosting some activities.
So, I’ll set up a MEET and GREET event at the entrance to the C.H.C. for geocachers. It will start at 3:00 P.M. and go until 3:30 P.M. I hope to see Canadians, Londoners, Britons, and visitors from around the world.
Look for a couple of Canadians in Tilley hats. I’ll try to bring a Canadian flag to help you locate us. I’ve used the co-ordinates near the south entrance to the building, on the sidewalk. There may be security issues (the C.H.C. issued a statement that they’re working with the London Police) so we might not be able to loiter around on the sidewalk. We’ll be as close as we can.
You’ll get a “souvenir” from Geocaching for attending this event. Hope to see you there!
